The Original Vision
The idea for The Wizard Returns began in early 2025 during a late-night creative session fueled by insomnia and an epic soundtrack. I imagined a wizard who did more than cast spells: he traveled through time, dimensions, and forgotten realms—a wanderer of cosmic pathways and keeper of secrets older than the stars.
In the original concept, he had vanished centuries earlier, leaving behind only myths and warnings carved in stone. Some believed he had ascended to a higher plane; others claimed he was protecting the universe from threats beyond mortal understanding. To me, however, he was never truly gone. He was waiting for the right moment to return.
The 2026 Remaster
In August 2026, I revisited the artwork with new tools, sharper techniques, and a clearer vision for the Cosmic Legends universe, which I had recently created for a local comic convention. The portal became brighter, the runes more intricate, and the wizard more imposing—a figure who moves through dimensions as easily as doorways and carries the weight of countless worlds in his gaze.

I captured reference photos of her relaxed moments in the grass, then translated that feeling into a single, tender image using an AI generation workflow. The design was created in layers—first the Basset Hound, next the butterfly, and thirdly the background—so each element could hold its own space and mood. After the initial generation, I performed extensive reediting across several platforms, applying enhancement filters and final sharpening in Photoshop to refine texture, color, and light.
